Before we talk about trimming or removal, we walk the tree: the bark, the canopy, the root flare, what's been stressing it. A trained arborist on our crew spends real time with it — not five minutes from the curb.
Most of what we find doesn't end in a chainsaw. It ends in a pruning plan, a watering note, or sometimes just “leave it alone, it's fine.” That's the assessment doing its job.

Pruning that works with the tree, not against it
Bad pruning is one of the fastest ways to shorten a tree's life. We cut for structure and health — clearing deadwood, opening the canopy for light and airflow, and taking weight off limbs before they become a problem, not after.
It's not just a haircut for curb appeal, though most folks notice that too.
When It's Actually Right
Removal, when removal is really the answer
Sometimes a tree is past saving — dead, hazardously leaning, or rotted through the trunk. When that's genuinely the case, we say so plainly and handle it safely, including tight yards and trees near structures.
Full removal
Sectioned down safely, including trees close to the house, the fence, or the power line — generically insured work, priced in writing before we start.
Stump grinding
Ground flush and cleared of chips if you want it gone all the way — usually bundled with a removal, but we'll grind an old stump on its own too.
How we decide
- We walk the whole tree, not just the part you called about.
- If it can be saved with pruning or a season of care, we say so first.
- If it genuinely needs to come down, you get a plain-language reason why.
- The lawn gets raked and the brush hauled or chipped before we leave.

Hangers, downed limbs, a tree leaning on the fence after a rough night of wind — storm calls jump the line. Here's what we'll actually commit to, not what sounds good on the phone.
- We triage active hazards first — a hanger over the driveway jumps the line ahead of a downed limb in the back corner.
- Honest windows. When a lot of the metro gets hit at once, we'll tell you where you actually are in line instead of promising everyone 'first thing tomorrow.'
- Storm work still gets the same walk-the-whole-tree attention — we're not just clearing debris and leaving.
- We're a local crew. We'll be back out for the planned pruning next season too.

Not necessarily — about half our estimates end with 'keep it.' A lot of trees that look rough are fine with the right pruning or a season to recover. We'll tell you straight if removal is genuinely the right call.
Are your crews insured and trained?
Yes — the crew is trained and the business carries insurance. We keep that description general rather than naming a specific certifying body.
What areas do you serve?

How does pricing work?
